This Privacy Policy (Policy) explains how we collect, store, use, protect and disclose personal information and individuals’ rights in respect of this information. All personal information is held in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act 2020.

What personal information do we collect?
We collect personal information in order to carry out the functions and activities required to provide our services. For example, if we are providing your business with HR advisory services, we may need you to supply information about relevant employees. Or if you are applying for a job with one of our clients (or Delos itself) as part of a recruitment process, we may need you to supply information about yourself to us.

Specific documents that verify identity and other personal information (eg passport details)

In addition, when you access and use our website, we may use cookies to collect information about your visit so that we can improve website layout and design and to tailor advertising for users. Cookies are small files that a website can send to your computer which can be stored on your hard drive (persistent cookies) or in memory (session cookies). Cookies store information about your preferences on a particular website and remain on your computer once you have exited from that website. We do not use cookies to identify, monitor or track personal information. You can set your website to disable the cookies option on your web browser, however please note that doing so may affect the use of our website.
We also use a third-party website tracker which is a service used by us to anonymously monitor IP addresses and aggregate statistics about our website, such as the number of page views, the number of unique visitors and time that visitors spend on our website. No individual users are identified.
How we may use personal information
We will only use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected.
We will only retain personal information for so long as is required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Where we share personal information with third parties, we require them to use this information only in accordance with our instructions and to adhere to our standards of privacy, security and confidentiality and to operate at all times within the law.
We will not sell personal information to any third party.
How we store and protect personal information
We will take reasonable steps in accordance with standard industry practice to ensure that personal information that we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored in a secure environment protected from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Please note that the internet is not a secure medium. When submitting personal information to us using this medium, the details may not be secure from access by third parties. We cannot (and do not) accept any risk or responsibility of disclosure of personal information submitted to us using the internet.
Your rights in relation to your personal information
You may request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. You may also require that we correct personal information that we hold about you if that information is misleading, inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant. You may also request that we delete information that we hold about you if you no longer wish us to provide services to you.
Where we receive a request from you, we will process the request within 20 working days.
When you make a request to access personal information, we may require you to provide some form of identification (such as driver’s licence or passport) so we can verify that you are the person to whom the information relates. In some cases, we may also request an administrative fee to cover the cost of access although in the majority of cases we will be able to provide the requested information free of charge. In the event of a fee being charged we will notify you of the amount and obtain your approval before proceeding with the request.
We may refuse your request for a copy of the personal information that we hold about you or your request to correct your personal information in one of the following circumstances:
Access would be unlawful
Access would prejudice enforcement action or actions relating to unlawful activity or serious misconduct
Denying access is required under New Zealand law or an order of a court or tribunal
Marketing Communications
We may send marketing and promotional messages to electronic or postal addresses that you have provided to us. You can choose not to receive this information at any time by contacting us using the details above or by “unsubscribing” from the marketing communications.
